For all Oregon insurance prelicense students who have taken (or will take) our insurance prelicense classrooom program- you are no longer required to have your online final exams proctored!  ProSchools has received authority to eliminate the proctoring requirement for all classroom prelicense students in Oregon!  Read on for more!

This rule change applies ONLY to classroom students.  Historically, classroom students have been required to put in the state-mandated prelicense hours within the classroom, and have also had to complete online quizzes, tests and a proctored final exam in order to receive a certificate of completion for prelicense education.

We have eliminated the need to have the final examination proctored for classroom students.  You will still need to complete the quizzes/tests/final exams with a passing score of at least 75% in order to receive your completion certificate.  The only thing that has changed is that you will no longer need a proctor to certify your final exam!

For the true online student, nothing has changed.  You wil still be required to have your final examinations proctored as required by state rule.  Please keep in mind that this is generally considered a state of Oregon requirement, and as such, we don’t have much of a choice here!

So, those of you that enrolled at ProSchools prior to the rule change will notice that the proctor “screen” no longer appears when you complete an exam, and the language in your syllabus has changed to reflect this.  Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will be happy to address them!

One Response to “For Oregon Insurance Classroom Students: No More Proctoring!”
  1. For the final exam, as I am an online candidate, it totally makes sense that at some point they have a way to insure that you have a working knowlege of the information before they cut you loose on the general public. So, having a proctor really does make sense, and having one is not really that inconvienient anyway. Sure, it would be nice to take the test online without anyone checking on wether or not I had the material right here, but then I would have that opprotunity to use notes that I cannot use in real life situations. Bottom line I need to know the material well.
