ProSchools and ClearCert LTC Compliance Announce Partnership!
Posted by Gary in Law Changes, Q&A! You ask, we answer!, Student LoungeProSchools is proud to announce that we have partnered with ClearCert, LLC. ClearCert is an industry-leading provider of compliance services to the major Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance companies. ClearCert, an Ohio corporation, has entered into agreements with insurers and insurance educational providers to ensure compliance with the new LTC educational requirements mandated by the individual states and the NAIC’s Model Long-Term Care Act. Read on for more!
The massive changes that have occurred within the LTC industry is what prompted the creation of ClearCert. Major LTC insurance companies, such as John Hancock, Genworth, Unum and MedAmerica look to ClearCert to ensure that educational programs meet the requirements of each state as they roll out their LTC partnership programs.
It’s important to keep in mind that simply because a state approves a particular educational provider’s LTC certification course, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the course will be acceptable to a particular insurer. Since insurance companies are inherently liable for the acts of their producers in many instances, another purpose of our partnership with ClearCert is to provide our customers security in knowing that our courses will be accepted by any ClearCert member carrier.
Currently, we have Oregon approved for partnership training and many other states, including Washington, Tennessee, Nevada and others will be approved within the next few weeks and months. As well, we are seeking approval for the required 4-hour “refresher” course that is typically mandated by each state every two years after initial certification.
Please feel free to browse ClearCert’s website for any additional questions or concerns that you may have. If there’s anything that I can do for you, please leave a response below and I will respond via the blog.
